These terms apply when you use PopDesk. By using the site you accept them. PopDesk is published by Tyron Morgan, its owner and editor.
What the site is
PopDesk publishes entertainment news and release information: what is new on streaming, in theaters, in music and in games, with US and UK dates and where to watch. Release dates, times, prices and services are set by the companies concerned and can change without notice. We check them against the official announcements, and each title page shows when we last did, but always confirm with the service, venue or retailer before you rely on them.
Nothing on the site is professional, legal or financial advice.
Who owns what
Our text, our charts and the design of the site belong to the publisher. Photos and other material belong to their creators and are used under the licences shown with them; official trailers belong to the studios and play from YouTube. Names of shows, movies, games, services and companies are the trademarks of their owners. We are independent and are not affiliated with or endorsed by any studio, streaming service, label, publisher or award body we write about.
How you may use it
You may read the site, share links to it, and quote short extracts with a link back to the story. You may not:
- republish whole stories, title pages or release lists, on a website, in an app or in a feed;
- copy the site in bulk, by hand or by machine, including to train or feed AI systems, except as our robots.txt allows;
- try to break, overload or get around the security of the site;
- use the site in any way that is against the law.
What you send us
If you write to us (a correction, a removal request, a press release), you let us use what you send to deal with it and, for press releases and announcements, to report on it. Do not send anything you are not entitled to share.
Links and advertising
We link to other websites for reference and to our sources. We are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices. Advertising and sponsorship are labeled and kept apart from the news; see our partner content policy. Where a link earns us money, it is marked.
Mistakes and removals
We correct mistakes openly, and if you ask us to correct or remove something, we do. See Corrections, Complaints and removals and Copyright and takedowns.
Our responsibility
We work to keep the site accurate and available, but we provide it as it is, and we cannot promise that it will always be available, complete or free of errors. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of the site or your reliance on it. Nothing in these terms limits any responsibility that the law does not allow us to limit, or takes away rights you have as a consumer under the law where you live.
The law that applies
These terms are governed by the laws of South Africa, where the publisher is based. This does not take away any protection the law of your own country gives you as a consumer, and you may bring a claim in the courts where you live if that law allows it.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version; using the site after a change means you accept it.
